Brow henna is a product based on Indian henna. Color pigments have been added to give the henna a beautiful light to dark brown color. If only pure henna is used, the skin will have reddish print instead of the natural brow color. Working with pure henna to achieve the reddish print effect is the result with traditional henna decorations in many Eastern countries. For brow henna, the color pigments ensure that the henna draws into the skin more quickly. So you do not have to wait for hours, as is the case with pure henna. Brow henna is therefore never pure 100% henna, however just like high end cosmetics, brow henna is developed to give a natural cosmetic finish lasting about 2 weeks without having to add any harmful chemicals such as PPD dye.
A common misconception about brow henna is that it can help reshape your brow. You can make eyebrows look fuller, and fill up bald spots, but brow henna does not stain the skin when there is no hair. Brow henna applied on skin and not on brow hair will only last for a day or two. Brow henna applied on brow can last up to 14 days.
To ensure that you enjoy Henna Brows for as long as possible, here are the following tips:
- Do not wet the eyebrows for the first 12 hours
- Use as little cleaning products as possible
- Do not apply too many creams to the eyebrows
- Watch out with the sun and suntanning beds. Not only does the color fade faster, sun can also trigger an allergy!
